DVD Millenniata M-DISC, discs where the data recorded to them will survive as long as 1000 years, had their debut on the market. It is the addition of granite which is supposed to guarantee that the time of storing data will be much longer than in case of other data storage media.
Italian group Pellegrini Meccanica SpA, a famous (in Poland) manufacturer of machines for diamond wire cutting, has introduced to one of its most popular machines (a multi-wire gang saw Pentawire) a new solution allowing for the change of the track of wheels (the change of the thickness of slabs being cut) without removing wheels from the shaft.

The process of reorganization, including refreshing the image of Quarella, began in 2011. After a long time, full of thoughtful and bold decisions, a satisfactory result has been finally achieved. A new slogan of Quarella, that is “Quarella. Stone surfaces for Italian lifestyle” turned out to be the icing on the cake. It is supposed to emphasize a noble origin of the products as well as their quality combined with functionality.
Mariusz Żoch, a letterer from Strzegom has won this year's competition during the Kamień-Stone fair in Poznań gaining the honorable title ''Master of Sandblasting 2012''. He received his 1000 zł price on the stand of ABRA Sp z o.o.

The legendary stone company has opened its branch in Wrocław again. The descendants of Carl Thust wanted this way to refer to the tradition of the company which has been connected with Wrocław for ages.
