We are pleased to announce that Świat Kamienia has already received first applications which are going to compete for the main prize in the prestigious Kamień 2013 competition. Only the objects which were built with a significant use of natural stone may compete for the ?Kariatyda? (Caryatid) statuette. The projects must have been built or designed by Polish companies and must have been finished or will have been finished in the period of 1 August 2011 to 31 July 2013.
The awards will be given to the winners in three categories: stone in architecture, tomb stone and decorative elements and sculpture. The criteria which the jury will take into account when choosing the winner among the submitted projects are the unique character of the project, its form and composition, its integrity and congruity with the surroundings, workmanship and artistic quality of the project.
The jury appointed by Świat Kamienia editors will choose the best project among all the submitted applications. Members of the jury are Dr. Renata Wysocka, Dr. Jerzy Duda, Prof. Stefan Kukiałka, Józef Maślaniec and Stanisław Sitarz. However, the organiser reserves the right to award prizes to projects which have not been submitted but which fulfil the criteria that can be found in the regulations. Every stonemason may submit a project for the competition.
The application form and regulations are available to download on our website www.swiat-kamnienia.pl. The application for the competition should be sent at the address of Świat Kamienia.
We warmly invite you to participate in our competition!
