Feliks Płaskociński died. He was a teacher and a tutor of a few generations of opencast miners, an expert at the State Mining Authority, an academic teacher and a prominent expert in the field of opencast mining.
For all his life he was connected with extractive industry, therefore he is known among many stonemasons. As a 14-year-old boy he joined the stone secondary school in Świdnica which he graduated after the school had been moved to Cracow. In Cracow he continued his education at the University of Science and Technology. The late Feliks Płaskociński for all his professional life was connected with extraction and vocational education.
After his studies he got connected with extraction of dimension stone, next he was a director at the marble quarry in Sławniowice, a teacher for practical, vocational training at the Technical Secondary School of Opencast Mining and an academic teacher at the University of Science and Technology.
In spite of the fact that he was 80 years old, he was working till the end of his life on the position of the manager of mining plant operation. The funeral service took place on 25 January in Zwoleń near Radom.
