Mariusz Żoch, a letterer from Strzegom has won this year's competition during the Kamień-Stone fair in Poznań gaining  the honorable title ''Master of  Sandblasting 2012''. He received his 1000 zł price on the stand of ABRA Sp z o.o.

The contest for the most skillful mason is the most spectacular event on the Kamień-Stone fair in Poznań. It was the same this year. Not only time mattered, but also the precision of sandblasting. This year's competition was about  applaying  the foil to the stone slab, preparing the inscription for work and of course sandblasting itself.

10 competitors took part in the event. The referees were ABRA's employees and the owner of the Lastrico stonemason's  Mr Jan Ziętek who founded the slabs. The jury have awarded the prize to Mr Żoch who did his work in 10 minutes and 31 seconds.
-    I started to work as a letterer when I was a teeneager. I knew I would win! Lettering is something I love and do by heart; apart from that... I am very fast – told us the ''Master of Sandblasting 2012'' during the award gala.
Apart from the prestigious title the winner received three rolls of foli worth 1000zł.
