The winners are: Muzeum Ziemi Przemyskiej (The National Museum of Przemyśl Region) in the category of Stone in Architecture, the tombstone made by Andrzej Weremczuk in the category of Tombstones and Pomnik Wspólnej Pamięci (The Monument of Common Memory) in the category of Sculpture.
The jury of the competition awarded Kariatyd prizes for best stone projects for the eighth time. The prizes were awarded in three categories.
The competition was organized by Świat Kamienia for the seventh time. In this years edition there was a record high number of projects: 39. There were three categories which were called: Tombstone, Sculpture and Stone in Architecture. The common element in these three kinds of human activity is the application of stone as a material, exposing its natural beauty, explains Adriana Bajno, the editor-in-chief of Świata Kamienia which organized the competition.
