A granite pyramid, which the authorities of the borough accepted very quickly, is supposed to make the planned park more attractive in the future.
The pyramid has been installed on an artificial Beach behind the so-called bridge of love. The pyramid is 4 metres high. At the bottom of the stone structure there are images which show physiological needs of a man such as satisfying hunger or sex and the self-realisation is shown at the very top. The frame of the pyramid was made of steel to which 60 granite boards were attached.
Each of them is a piece of slab made of red Indian granite Samarkanda. The author of this unusual installation is Tadeusz Dębski. He is an artist, painter and sculptor, but also a dancer and the creator of Argentine tango in Poland. His work of art has its origin in the hierarchy (pyramid) of needs, which was described by an American psychologist Abraham Maslow in 1954.
