The group of stonemasons from Poland, Czech Republic and the Netherlands participated in the economic mission in the Spanish province Almeria. The representatives of stone industry visited several quarries and processing plants in the region. The mission was organised by the Agency of Foreign Trade Promotion in Andalusia. Almeria is a centre of marble and travertine extraction.
The representatives of the following companies took part in the mission: Stone Connection, Granit Holec, Krak-Stone, Nowy Kamieniarz and Euro Granit Adamus. The participants also visited the Technological Centre of Stone (Centro Tecnologico Andaluz de la Piedra) where research labs can be found.
