The 9th National Meeting of Open-Cut Mining, which is a part of the 2010 Polish Mining Congress, will be held in Cracow on 9-10 September 2010.
It will be the largest event in open-cut mining industry in Poland in 2010. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and the Minister of Economy will take the Honorary Patronage of the meeting. The motto is The open-cut mining in the first half of 21st century: chances and challenges. The subject matter of the meeting includes the issues related with the current economic situation in Poland and its influence on the national open-cut mining as well as other topics such as the development perspectives of particular open-cut mining sectors, mineral resource base for open-cut mining, safeguarding mineral deposits for future open-cut exploitation, difficulties and obstacles in the development of open-cut mining and proposals to change the present formal, legislative and environmental conditions, possibilities to satisfy the demand for machines and devices for the development of open-cut mining, post-mining reclamation and revitalisation.
