Plates made of grey-brown dolomite and glass sheets appeared on the facade of the new building. Finishing works are slowly coming to an end and, if everything is ok, the building will be ready in autumn. Professor Ewa Kuryłowicz from Kuryłowicz&Associates studio is the author of the project.
The Town Hall in Wilanów consists of two buildings – building A with a clock tower and building B which are connected with each other by means of a square and an underground car park. Right now the workers are laying stone plates on that part of the facade which faces Klimczaka Street. The dolomite texture resembles a veneer made of a nut tree. Grey-brown or hazel-coloured plates match well with glass sheets on other facades of the Town Hall. The interior of the ground floor will be made of natural stone cladding.
