SPRING SALE AT WKG ZOK IS OVER

wkgThe visitors who came to WKG ZOK on Friday, April 21, were attracted by attractive prices of stone materials. Not only were classic materials like travertine from Raciszyn on sale, but also new ones such as Nero Tunisi, Bianco Edera, Pietra Grey or Katherina Gray.
Discounts on some plates reached 70%. The icing on the cake, however, was a totally new product: Magic Stone. The values of these slabs with fluorescent veins were commented the most frequently. This is a combination of classic and modern; they are two faces of travertine – elegance of the day and magic of the starry night. Ms. Agnieszka Kołacz was the author of that project which took part in “Travertine Design” competition organised by WKG whereas Ms. Tatiana Satława-Zamykal, who is the director of Zakład Obróbki Kamienia (stone processing plant) in Wojkowice, was in charge of turning this idea into a product.

The second awarded project which was made and presented during the open day was Czarny Trawertyn (black travertine) by Mr Michał Podgórczyk.

This event was attended by stonemasons, representatives of companies that cooperate with stone industry as well as architects and designers. There were also non-Polish visitors there. Wojkowice attracted, among others, representatives of open-pit mines from the Czech Republic (e.g. shareholders of Slezské kamenolomy) and from Slovakia. But stone is not everything. Therefore, organisers of this event prepared attractions stolen straight from … Las Vegas! There was a carefully arranged zone that looked like a casino. The croupiers at the roulette, poker and Black Jack tables offered good atmosphere and good fun in between business meetings. All of this was accompanied by the music played by a DJ.
