A mosaic based on Leonardo da Vinci’s drawing „The Vitruvian Man” which was made with the use of a TECHJET water jet cutter achieved the amount of over 5,000 PLN (ca. 1300 euro) at the auction on allegro.pl. Until the very end we did not know who is going to win the auction.
The amount that was achieved -5101 PLN went to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP). This WOŚP auction took place under the auspices of our magazine.
The mosaic was bought by a resident of Warsaw who after the auction informed us that he had been fighting to buy it because he was “impressed with it as soon as he saw it”.
- We are very happy that the mosaic based on Leonardo da Vinci’s painting and made with the use of our SMARTJET water jet cutter achieved such a big sum – says Adam Cegielski, the co-owner of TECHJET company.
The mosaic made of pieces of stone tiles which depicts Leonardo da Vinci’s painting “The Vitruvian Man” was made by TECHJET company with the use of SMARTJET water jet cutter. High quality materials which were used had been supplied by Maxkomfort company from Gdynia. The mosaic was made in order to show the capabilities of the waterjet. The machine was shown for the first time last year at the Technicon Innovations Fair 2012 in Gdansk where SMARTJET water jet cutter got the Special Prize of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Province.
