Marmomacc, the International Exhibition of Stone, Design & Technologies scheduled at VeronaFiere next 4-7 October, confirms its status as world leader in the natural stone sector, with presentations of all types of natural stone, the latest innovative processing technologies and avant-garde applications for interiors and exteriors.
The exhibition will host 1510 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, of which half international, over a net area in excess of 76 thousand square metres. More than 65 thousand operators are expected, representing more than 110 international countries. For the first time, moreover, in 2007, Verona will welcome exhibitors from Japan as well as Cyprus, Albania and Sierra Leone.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PRESENT AT MARMOMACC 2007
International buyers from Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Columbia, Switzerland, Austria, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Texas, Canada, India, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan and Israel will meet exhibitors (after prior review of presentation data cards already available) directly on stands and in the "Buyers Club" area in Hall 7b, used as a Meeting Point and B2B Area even by all qualified visitors accredited by the VeronaFiere International Service.

BSI CONVENTION - BUILDING STONE INSTITUTE OF USA
5 October, 10.30/13.30, Bellini Hall: the BSI Convention - Building Stone Institute of USA - for the first time, this important US Institute has decided to organise in Verona its annual convention with attendance by 45 members.

SCHEDULED EVENTS FOR AGENDAS 4-7 OCTOBER (EXHIBITION TIMETABLE 9-18) IN NEW HALL 7B
International Stone Architecture Award, Tenth Edition. Set up in 1987, this Award today is one of the most prestigious in valorising the quality of projects using stone materials. La Natural Seducción de la Pietra. New Stone Architecture in Spain in collaboration with ICEX. An exhibition of the best projects finished in Spain in recent years by the main protagonists in architecture. Marmomacc Meets Design - The lightness of Marble - Meeting between ten designers and ten companies exploring the design and construction potential of stone materials Stone Puglia in collaboration with Puglia Region. A selection of the most significant works blending tradition and innovation.

PRESENTATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL STONE ARCHITECTURE AWARD
The Official Ceremony announcing the winners of the International Stone Architecture Award and the Presentation of the "Natural Seducción de la Piedra" Exhibition will take place at Castelvecchio Museum in Verona on Saturday 6 October at 10.00 a.m. Prior booking is required while places are available.

“STONES” IN VERONA
Strolls around the city of Verona. immediately highlight limestones of various colours, especially Verona Red, Broccato Red, Coral Pink, Verona Yellow and Verdello, as well as the famous Chiampo stone (very popular in the late Baroque and modern period) and soft "Colli Berici" stones. Current flagstones also highlight several grey granites of various origin, including Adamello tonalite.
