Natural stone in kitchen is usually associated with kitchen tops or tiles covering floors or walls of this room. We can find, however, companies whose offers go one step further.

During this year’s Stone+tec fair, at the stand of the Czech company METAL GRANIT spol. S r.o. we could check how well kitchen utensils made of stone fit our hands. Rolling pins, meat hammers – utensils of this kind captured the visitors’ attention (the price did not exceed 20 euro per piece).

Even more designer products have been recently presented by designers working for the Italian Lievito studio. Kitchen utensils have been presented for the first time at this year’s fair Salone Del Mobile in Milan – the most important event in the world of design. All the elements of “Elementare” set have been made of Italian Carrara marble, that is of white, noble variety of this stone. Each has geometrical shapes, these are ball, cylinder, cone and cube. At first sight “Elementare” resembles a modern sculpture, decoration or game. Nothing further from truth, this is a set of kitchen utensils.
